Abhinav Nayar

Abhinav Nayar (MC ’15)
As the 2014 YAAA Fellowship recipient, Abhinav worked with the Queen Rania Foundation in Jordan to develop Edraak, an Open edX based platform for Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in the Middle East, the first of its kind. He is currently Associate Consultant at Dalberg Global Development Advisors in San Francisco, CA.

Emily Sosangelis

Emily Sosangelis (TD ’13)
Emily was awarded the 2013 YAAA Fellowship. The YAAA fellowship provided Emily with the support to assist her as an intern at UNDP Iraq. Two years after graduation, she is still working on development projects, ranging from Rule of Law support in Iraq to security sector reform and emergency relief in northern Syria. She continues to work in the region while preparing to enter into a graduate program to support her enduring interest in regional development

Marissa Dearing

Marissa Dearing
Marissa was the first recipient of the YAAA Fellowship for Engagement in the Arab World. At the time of her award, Ms. Dearing was an accomplished student of Arabic with a professional commitment to working in the Arab world. The YAAA Fellowship supported Marissa’s internship at Al Jazeera in Doha, Qatar, followed by five weeks at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco, where she studied “Society and Politics of North Africa.”
