After studying political science and philosophy at Yale, I moved to the West Bank to work for Ma'an News Agency, the largest independent Palestinian media organization. As a journalist I also freelance for various US- and UK-based publications.

Tarik Ramahi


Medicine '87 from United States

I earned my MD degree at Yale, completed residency training in internal medicine and fellowship training in cardiology at Yale, and served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Yale for seven years. I later served as a UNDP health care consultant in the Palestinian territories and was appointed in 2006 Professor of Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Al-Quds University Faculty of Medicine. I spend up to six months per year in the Palestinian territories. I am founding President of the American School of Palestine.
