On May 22nd 2009, YAAA held a dinner at Mayass in Beirut featuring Consul General Stephen Buck '62, member of the YAAA Advisory Board. The dinner also featured two special guests, Rami Khouri, Director of the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs at AUB, and Samer Sabri '13, incoming freshman and the newest member of the Yale Arab family. The dinner was attended by about twenty people, including YAAA Advisory Board members, Dr. Khalil Bitar PhD '67, and Saleh Barakat WF'07.
